Semblance is a series of paintings that initially suggest whole spherical forms, but these quickly give way to subtle individual abstract shapes; each translucent layer is painted and allowed to dry, before applying the next.

This pause in painting resonates quietly and creates space, an intimate momentum and a dreamlike perspective. The balance of these forms hint at an outward opening into another reality.
